How often should you floss: daily or a few times a week?

Interdental spaces are areas that a conventional toothbrush often reaches less effectively. Cleaning them should therefore be a regular part of oral hygiene, not something done only when food becomes trapped.

Should flossing be daily?

A habit is usually easiest to maintain when interdental cleaning is part of a consistent daily routine. Depending on individual needs, a dentist may recommend floss, interdental brushes or another tool.

Morning or evening?

Many people find the evening more convenient because they can clean thoroughly after the whole day. Accuracy and regularity matter more than the exact time.

Do not compensate with force

If floss is used only occasionally, aggressive cleaning to make up for missed days can irritate the gums. Movements should be controlled. Persistent bleeding, pain or swelling requires dental assessment.
